Beazer Homes is honored to be named as a 2018 ENERGY STAR® Partner of Year for the fourth time.

Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence

The EPA’s highest ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year award—Sustained Excellence—honors organizations who have consistently earned Partner of the Year for several years in a row. In the New Home Builder category, it is awarded to those dedicated to building and promoting energy-efficient homes.

This year, in particular, Beazer has focused on reducing our air filtration averages and building homes that are significantly more efficient than homes built to the standard code across the country. We also focused efforts on education about the importance of energy efficiency, both within our organization and among home buyers.

Brian Shanks, manager of national accounts, says of the award, “We are proud to have been recognized by the EPA again.  The ENERGY STAR® program is a great way for us to showcase our commitment to energy efficiency and validate year over year efforts at reducing our energy footprint.”

The Beazer Difference

In 1998, we joined the ENERGY STAR® program and began our commitment to building energy efficient homes. We’re the second-most tenured national home builder in the program. Since then, we’ve built more than 50,000 homes, including 5,000 in 2017 alone.

Every Beazer home in every community is built to conserve energy and reduce your monthly utility costs. This means we don’t stop at testing sample homes and floorplans. We test every single home by a third party. Each homeowner receives an individual ENERGY STAR® certification.

Our homes average a HERS® (Home Energy Rating System) score of 60-70. The HERS® rating was developed to measure a home’s energy efficiency and to easily compare the energy performance of one home with another. A typical existing home will have a score of 130. The lower the HERS® index, the more money we save homeowners!

Our Partners

We build relationships with partners who share in our dedication to reducing our environmental footprint. From Tyvek® home wrap to Whirlpool appliances and flooring by Mohawk, the products, and materials that make and furnish a Beazer home are selected with energy efficiency in mind.
