Indianapolis couple Kevin and Stephanie Thompson were excited to find a move-up home with lots of design options and upgrade features well within their budget. Read on to discover their Beazer Homes story, below:

As told by Stephanie:

“I had bought a three-level townhome  in 2010 and Kevin moved in with me in 2012.  It was the very first home I had owned. Kevin and I got married in the fall of 2014 and we decided to begin looking for a house together after the wedding.

At first we looked at existing homes, but then quickly decided building a home would be a better option.  We were seriously considering another community nearby, but when we were not able to negotiate on price, we looked at Keeneland Park.  We had received a flyer in the mail advertising the community and they were offering $10,000 towards design studio options.  This was a huge incentive for us!

We walked into the sales office one weekend and met with John Behrmann, our New Home Counselor.  He went over the floor plans with us as well as pricing.  John was so helpful.  He suggested we head over to the design studio to see what kind of upgrades were offered so we could get a better idea on the home’s final price.  We took his advice and met with Erin Lydle.  She was terrific at helping us select the upgrade options we wanted all while staying within our budget.  The whole process was very smooth.  When we determined we could build our dream home for a reasonable price, we knew we had found the right community and met with John again to sign paperwork.

We decided on the Camden floorplan because it was the smallest ranch offered.  We don’t require a ton of space so we preferred to go with a smaller house with lots of upgrades options.  We chose an open kitchen for entertaining and loved the master bath with the extra large shower.

We added other fun options like a fireplace in the living room, extra windows, a tray ceiling in the master bedroom, and beautiful hardwood floors. We also love our cream colored kitchen cabinets and granite countertops.  All the bathrooms have pretty tile and the colors are very neutral.  We love it all!

Our street is wonderful.  The homeowners all seem to be close to us in age.  Everyone is social and very friendly which makes Keeneland Park a fun place to live.  We felt instantly welcomed into the community.  We also love that our neighbors seem to really care about their homes.  That was very important to us.  We take a lot of pride in the way our home looks and wanted neighbors who do so as well.  Everyone takes great care of their lawns and each house has amazing curb appeal. We also love all the nearby trails we can use to walk our dog, Hoosier!

We just love that we were able to pick everything.  There isn’t a thing about our home that we don’t like.  The house is easy to maintain, energy efficient, and, of course, we love the community.  We are so proud of the home we have built. We were always told that building a home can be one of the most stressful events of a person’s life, but Beazer made the process very easy and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome. We love our home and couldn’t have asked for anything more.
